Family Friendly Indoor Activities at Shawnee

BRRRRR…..it’s cold outside! Come on in and enjoy family friendly indoor activities at our cozy Inn. We recently installed an indoor 9 hole mini putt course, a backgammon table, chess and checkers. Use of all of these indoor activities come at no charge for our overnight guests.

We love hearing about our guests day on the mountain skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing, but when they are ready to warm up, but not quite ready to call it a night, they can now enjoy one of these fun and family friendly indoor activities.

Mini golf will be open daily from 7am to 10pm through March 31st. The course itself is set up in the Payette room located just off the lobby of the Main Inn. A total of 8 people can play at a time. Putters, balls, score cards, and pencils can all be retrieved at the Front Desk.

What makes this indoor course so unique is that it was designed by a team member here at Shawnee. Make sure you refer to hole 7 as “Big Mike”.

Spa Shawnee Expansion

Spa Shawnee and Salon recently underwent its own rejuvenation process. Spa Shawnee has always had a full service menu, however, this expansion with its new offerings, has allowed for even more ways to provide relaxation for our guests. Our new spa services can be enjoyed individually, added to any full treatment, or combined as a rejuvenating circuit for the ultimate wellness experience.

Pocono Resort with Movie Night

Movie Nights are coming to the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in 2025! Movie Nights will take place every Wednesday at 7pm. They are included in your overnight stay at Shawnee, but there is a suggested $5 donation to help with set-up and breakdown of this event.

Yummy concessions like buttery popcorn, ice cold beverages, and some of you favorite sweet tooth treats will be available for sale at our very own concession stand.

Delaware River Nominated for PA River of the Year

The Delaware River is in the running for Pennsylvania’s River of the Year Award. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is incredibly lucky to have this beautiful river just steps from our front door. This allows our guests to enjoy various water activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, rafting, or taking a ride in our Pontoon Boat. And let’s not forget the amazing photo’s our guests take of the River with the mountains behind it.

The river flows almost 300 miles along the borders of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, and provides drinking water to over 14 million people. The river is home to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, one of the top 20 most visited National Park units in the country. The park is located just a few short miles from the Shawnee Inn, and is often utilized by our guests.

If you’ve visited Shawnee, you know just how important the Delaware River is to our resort. You can cast your vote to make it Pennsylvania’s River of the Year by visiting the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers website. Voting is open until January 19th, 2025.
